• Martin Steinhobel, Managing Partner

  Martin comes from entrepreneurial family and his early years involved various entrepreneurial endeavors that included assisting small businesses in developing processes and implementing technology. He is particularly passionate about exit planning and developing and implementing strategies that fundamentally improve the performance and value of small businesses.

  Martin is responsible for Valens Point business strategy and operations programs, in addition to management responsibilities.

  Martin brings over 20 years of experience as a business leader in sales and service development, and service delivery. Prior to joining Valens Point Martin was National Vice President, Professional Services at ePlus where he successfully implemented strategies to improve operational performance and profitability through the implementation of new processes and systems and a focus on measurability. Prior to that Martin was at Software AG for over 15 years where he was responsible for managing professional services, the development of new services, planning and implementing organizational change, and selling of both software and professional services. Martin held a variety of roles including Vice President of Regional Sales, Vice President of Technical Services, and Vice President of Professional Services.

  Martin attended Rhodes University in South Africa earning Bachelor degrees in business administration (B.Com) and computer science (B.Sc). Martin is also member of BEI Network of Exit Planning Advisors™. Martin resides in Herndon, Virginia.

• Debra Mendes, Managing Partner

  Debra brings a wide range of experience accumulated during 25 years of consultative experience, ranging from IT application development, business development, solutions development and services marketing.  Ms. Mendes has led global teams devoted to methodology development, deployment, management of the full range of solution development, communication activities, sales channels enablement, and resources to support strategic plans for sales and marketing objectives.

  Debra Mendes is responsible for the Valens Point marketing strategy and programs.

  Ms. Mendes comes from an early foundation of small business, entrepreneurship family and community.  Her passion is to bring the experiences gained throughout her career back to the small business owner in the area of  Marketing and the development of solutions and strategies for Professional Services organizations.

  Debra attended Columbia College earning a BS of Business Administration degree.  Debra currently resides in Charles Town, West Virginia.
  
  

• David C. Smith, Managing Partner

  David comes from a long line of entrepreneurs having been involved with various family small businesses and working with small business owners. He has experienced first hand the strains of expanding a small business while continually delivering optimal customer and financial results. The ability to gain additional customers and revenue has proven to be a very critical aspect of small business and is why David is responsible for Valens Point sales and marketing programs.

  David brings over 20 years of consulting, sales, marketing and management experience to the Valens Point management team. Most recently he served as Vice President of Sales Business Operations at Software AG, where he had a career of over 15 years. During those years he rose from a technical consultant to executive and leadership positions in the Professional Services and Sales organizations. While at Software AG he was awarded numerous awards for sales leadership and financial contributions. Previously, David spent numerous years as an independent consultant working with multiple clients in North America.

  David attended Faulkner University in Montgomery, AL earning a degree in Business Administration. He resides in Boise, ID.
